Wellspring’s Virtual Science Fair 2022 – Secondary
Dear Parents and Students,
In order to help students become self-motivated and take charge of their learning as well as give them a chance to pursue their interest in science topics, the International Secondary Program will be holding a Virtual Science Fair for grades 6 to grade 12. Students will be encouraged to create their own projects, outside of school and submit their products. While this is not compulsory, students are strongly encouraged to consider taking part in contributing to Wellspring’s Virtual Science Fair 2022.
We would like to send you the details of Wellspring’s Virtual Science Fair 2022 as follows:
- Participants:
- All students from grade 6 to grade 12 who are interested in Science are invited to participate. Students may work individually or in groups with up to 3 members. Each student or group will be responsible for obtaining the materials needed for their project and putting it together themselves.
- Students in grades 6, 7, 8 and 9 who register will compete within their own grade level. Grades 10, 11, and 12 will compete within the same group.
- How to register:
- Students can apply online by filling out the form at the following link: REGISTRATION FORM.
- Students need to fill in all information when registering, including team members and project outlines. You can preview the form at this link: PROJECT OUTLINE.
- The deadline for registration is 12h00 PM on March 27, 2022. When we receive your forms, Science teachers will review them to approve and select the appropriate projects and materials for safety before students begin their work.
- After teachers’ approvals, we will send you the guidelines for the projects and the voting instructions.
- Requirements:
- Students can choose topics that they are interested in. The topics should be either research, models, or experiments.
- Students have to submit:
- The slides of the presentation: indicating the details of the projects.
- The 2-4 minute video in which they describe their projects and results.
